TOOLSharp RNA Extractor
TOOLSharp RNA Extractor is the most efficient reagent for isolation of total RNA from human, animal, and plant, bacterial and viral origin samples. This unique reagent provides higher yield and quality of isolated RNA than traditional reagents based on the single-step method. TOOLSharp RNA Extractor isolates pure and undegraded RNA that is ready for the following application without DNase treatment. TOOLSharp RNA Extractor separates RNA from other molecules in a single-step based on the interaction of phenol and guanidine with cellular components. No chloroform-induced phase separation is necessary to obtain pure RNA. A biological sample is homogenized or lysed in TOOLSharp RNA Extractor. DNA, proteins, polysaccharides and other molecules precipitate out of the homogenate/ lysate by addition of water and removing it by centrifugation. The pure RNA is isolated from the resulting supernatant by alcohol precipitation, followed by elution.

1. TOOLSharp RNA Extraction quality test by 293T cells:
2. Q-Sep data of TOOLSharp RNA Extractor
Q1. What is the BAN purification?
A: This step is more suitable for high concentration DNA samples in order to increase the purity of RNA extraction
Q2. What is the method for Toolsharp RNA extractor?
A: Similar to TRIzol, but the buffer is adjusted.
Q3. What is the concentration needed for BAN purification?
A: For every 1ml sample, add 5ul BAN with the final concentration of 0.5%.
Q4. Can you add the extractor into the blood and preserve RNA?
A: Not recommended. But we have tested adding Sharp RNA into the blood and preserve under -80 degrees for 1-2 weeks.
Q5. When using ToolSharp RNA Extractor for RNA extraction, will there be different layers before collecting the supernatant? Also, can we dry the RNA pellet after washing the RNA with ethanol?
A: There are no different layers, just collect 1ml of the supernatant into a new tube and start isopropanol precipitation. We suggest drying RNA pellet after ethanol wash and keep in mind that do not overdry RNA pellet
Q6. What is the suggested volume of elution for RNA extraction of TOOLSharp RNA Extractor?
A: For regular RNA extraction, we suggest you use 30-50ul for elution. The volume depends on the amount of RNA pellet you get
Q7. The 260/230 ratio of TOOLSharp RNA Extractor is relatively low, what might be the cause of this effect?
A: Normally, the absorbance at 230nm would be relatively higher due to the contamination of polysaccharides, salts, or organic solvents in your sample. To prevent this, please do the washing step according to protocol, and the drying step must also be performed according to the protocol to prevent any ethanol contamination
